About us
By Your Favorite Aunties isn’t just a brand. It’s who we are.
We’re Cyn & Sam. Sisters. Creators. Indigenous women from the Tsilhqot'in Nation.
We grew up on our family ranch in the Chilcotin, surrounded by land, stories, and hands that made things with purpose.
Some of our earliest memories are watching our grandparents sew traditional clothing, bead looms late into the night, and tan hides with patience and pride. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was wasted. Everything meant something.
In 2020, we found our way back to beading. Not as a business plan, but as grounding. As healing. As a way to reconnect with who we are and where we come from. One piece turned into another. Creativity opened doors. Sewing followed. Digital art followed. And eventually, By Your Favorite Aunties was born.
We blend tradition with today, honoring Indigenous craftsmanship while using modern tools to tell our stories. Our digital artwork becomes bold prints. Our prints become hoodies, T-shirts, and sweatshirts you can wear with pride. Every piece carries culture, humor, resilience, and love.
You’ll find us online, at local vendor markets, and at community events, always showing up as ourselves. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just intention, creativity, and real connection.
If you’re here, it means you’re part of the journey now too.
Thank you for supporting Indigenous artists. Thank you for supporting small business. Thank you for seeing us.
With gratitude,
Samantha and Cynthia Dick
